Housed in a 19th century building, Clew Bay Heritage Centre tells the story of Westport through the years. It traces the history of the town and Clew Bay from pre Christian times to date.
Displays consist of documents, photographs and general artefacts connected with Westport, one of the few planned towns in Ireland. Other features include a genealogical research facility and there are also guided walks of the town....

Live music in trad irish is on a Saturday night and the entrance is free. Tea and home made bread available at a small charge....

Cashel Heritage Centre is located in a cottage on the main street of Newtowncashel which has been refurbished to display artifacts to show the rural life in the area at the beginning of the century. There is a good display of early farm machinery in the farmyard at the back of the building. (Open to the public - seasonal)....
