The Ould Lammas Fair, held each year in Ballycastle on the last Monday and Tuesday of August, is one of Ireland's oldest fairs!
The exact origin of the fair is uncertain. One theory is that it began as a result of the occupation of the area around Ballycastle by the MacDonnells of the Isles in the early part of the sixteenth century....

Open House Festival brings the best of traditional, roots and acoustic music and arts to the heart of Belfast, with a quality programme of events based in the city's Cathedral Quarter....

This is the largest agricultural show in Northern Ireland and the three days are sure to be filled with plenty of excitement. The main arena of the showgrounds houses almost 400 trade stands, each one worthy of inspection. One of the headliner events this year is the Chariots of Fire Display team with trick and stunts involving sheep and ponies, and it is sure to thrill all those who spectate....

This is one of the nicest spots in the entire city, with the city Zoo and Malone House adjacent. In mid-June all in the Botanic Gardens are treated to a Don Giovanni Opera broadcast live to a big screen relay in the park. This has become one of the most popular events that take place during the height of the summer....

This is the 21st year of this festival and it promises to be one to remember. There are loads of big music concert acts and over the years has featured some of those that have appeared at Glastonbury. With plenty of local events, exhibitions, walks, tours and not forgetting the Carnival Parade; there is something for everyone at this West Belfast event....

This event caters for anyone interested in nearly every form of entertainment, such as dance, theatre, exhibitions, comedy, film and many forms of music such as jazz, blues, folk and roots....

During the middle of the summer there are a variety of some of the most spectacular ships from around the world coming to Belfast. Last year Tall Ships and 2 modern navy vessels were open to viewing by the public including the Tenacious (the largest tall ship built in the UK in the last 100 years) and the Jeanie Johnston (is a replica of one of the most famous ships to sail the Atlantic during the Irish famine)....

This is the celebration of alternate lifestyles and respect for diversity, history and the culture of Belfast’s Gay and Lesbian community. With plenty of events open to everyone, there will be walks, river cruises, talks, photographic exhibitions and of course the Pride Parade with its riot of colours and sounds....

This two day event combines the large flower market with a great food and drink event. With much merriment and plenty of food and drink, there will be a host of entertainment included in the Garden show. There will also be awards handed out to best fruit and vegetable in show....
